"How did you start doing what you do?"

If only had a penny for each time I got asked....“HOW did you start doing what you DO?”

The answer is a 3 letter word: MOM

My mother was one of the first female optometrists in Mumbai and started her private practice in her early 20s. She ran a successful business for over four decades and started investing much of her earnings in jewelry.

She learnt (what she could) about diamonds & gemstones but found that there was a severe lack of transparency in the jewelry world.

This didn’t sit well with her and she started filling my little head with the idea of becoming a jewelry designer.

She needed a sidekick! Someone on the inside!

She encouraged me to go full throttle into the jewelry-career and in the spring of 1998, I found myself in Carlsbad, California at GIA. Gemological Institute of America I received my Graduate Gemology (G.G.) as well as my Jewelry Design diploma from the world’s foremost authority on anything jewelry!

For over 20 years now, I have been in the jewelry industry and worked my way up (and out) of corporate to start my very own business that is centered in New York City.

I am passionate about being the "insider" not just for my mother, but for all of my clients! Always with transparency, communication and keeping them informed of every step of the bespoke / custom process....Design to Reality.
